"BEST WEEK OF SUMMER"
The Eastern Iowa Horse & Pony Camp is a week long overnight residential camp that is open to boys and girls in 3rd – 12th grade that have an interest in horses. Youth must have completed third grade by the start of camp to attend. Campers welcome from all over Eastern Iowa including but not limited to Dubuque, the Quad Cities, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Waterloo, Des Moines, Illinois, Wisconsin, and more!
Campers must provide their own horse or pony for camp.
OUR CAMPERS
Each day campers will participate in small group riding lessons with experienced equine instructors, interactive learning sessions (E-Academys), and various entertaining evening activities.
Campers will also have the chance to sign up for a special elective of their choice each afternoon.
OUR VOLUNTEERS
The Eastern Iowa Horse & Pony Camp also relies heavily on volunteers to keep the cost of camp low. We suggest a parent or guardian of each camper take some time to help in areas such as: overnight chaperones, kitchen help, daily chaperones, etc.
OUR MENTORS
Opportunities are also available for older and experienced youth to be mentors. Mentors provide assistance to our instructors during riding lessons to ensure campers are excelling and advancing their skills during the lessons. They also assist in the barns, E-cademy’s, electives, snack bar, kitchen, and evening activities.
